KUST annonced BA/BSc result.

Kohat University of Science and Technolgy annonced BA/BSc results. This supply exam session was conducted for those students who was not passed thier previous exams.

DEMONSTRATION OF CANDIDATES IN KUST

Campus: Today (28-05-2010) demonstration of candidates held by VICE CHANCELLOR Dr. Shafiq & all academic heads in VC office. The number of candidates were 39 in which 5 of them will be selected for respective posts.

Registrar Tariq Saleem qosorai, director academic Tariq Jan & chairmens of all dept. were also present on the event.

In the previous year Amna Gul (Lecturer Journalism & Mass Communication) got highest marks & now Reem Matiullah got highest marks among all candidates.

Reem Matiullah has recently decleared her MSc Journalism from KUST and from Journalism Dept. Lecturer Rooh-ul-Amin, Lecturer Sadia Yonus were also candidates for respective posts.

GAMES IN KUST

Campus: KUST held games between girls of different dept. here on 20 May 2010. All girls participated actively under the supervision of sports teacher Nadia.

The performance of students was very active. As many dept. leads in different games & won the competition. Badminton game was held on Thursday 20 May. In which students of IMS dept. won the match. Table tennis was on Friday 21st May in which sociology dept. leads.

Volleyball & Athletics were held on monday 24.05.2010. Nadia the sports teacher nominates the names of winnings students & announced that "they will get certificates in the next semester.

The trophies of these winning dept. will be received by their chairman in the certificate ceremony.

These games will also be held in KUST next year.

IMS 11 DEFEATED PHYSICS 11

KUST, May 27, 2010: The students of IMS(11) (Institute of Management Sciences) department defeated the Physics (11) department in the inter department football tournament on Wednesday May 26.
The IMS team won this match 2-0. The Physics team played well but not succeeded to make any goal. The match was played on the KUST football ground and was started at 5 pm.

ENGINEERING STUDENTS REACH TO QUARTER FINAL

KUST, May 27, 2010: The students of Engineering department reached to the quarter final, defeated the Economics department in the inter department football tournament on Wednesday May 26.
The Engineering team won this match by a high margin of goals of 6-0. Abdullah from the Engineering 3rd semester was declared the man of the match with 2 goals.
The match was played on the KUST football ground and was started at 2 pm.

BADMINTION :IMS WON KUST

Interdepartment badmintion tournament was played.6 department took part, 3 matches were played between IMS and ECNOMICS.IT/CHEMISTRY/PHYSICS and KIMS are also played this match and the winner was IMS.

IT and KIMS semi final was between IMS and CHEMISTRY department and winner are IMS.Second match played between PHYSICS and KIMS department and winner are KIMS.

Final match played between IMS AND KIMS department and the winner was IMS.The ending score of IMS department are 11-6.

KUST, May 27, 2010: A meeting of the presidents of all the societies of KUST held in the lawn of Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) on Wednesday May 19, 2010.

The meeting was about to discuss the problems of the students but majorly to introduce a welfare society which would purely be working for the students of KUST regardless of the sect and race etc.

In the meeting the Student Action Committee was dissolved and another society by the name of Mutahida Talba Mahaaz (MTM) was introduced.

President of the dissolved SAC Mr. Mansoor Khan told that the students are scattered into different societies they are suppose to unite if they want to clear and solve their problem

He further added that this welfare society will not have any president because it will be controversial after it and for this they have assigned four conveners Mr. Shahid (JMC), Adnan (IMS), SubhanUllah (Zoology) and Afzal (city campus) in order to inform all the presidents and students in case of Any problem

KHYBER, AFRIDI STUDENTS GATHERING

KUST, May 26, 2010: a gathering of Khyber and afridi students’ society held in front of hostel B1 of Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST) under the presidency of the society president Gul Afridi on Wednesday May 19, 2010.

The purpose of the gathering was to discuss the problems they are facing and also to take a decision of the annual party.

The students from both Afridi and Khyber area participated in the gathering.

In last a collective decision of arranging the party on 28th of this month, was taken

BYCOTT AGAINST FACEBOOK

KUST, CAMPUS 25-05-2010:

Strike against facebook has been held by students of journalism & mass communication including there teacher Amna and sadia yonus, and ofcourse all the students of university participated in it. it was the first strike in which girls also participated with zeal & zest.

After taking classes all students combined in JMC dept. & then they come outside with banners & slogans "NAARA.E.TAKBEER, ALLAH O AKBAR" to show their deep love to their beloved prophet.

Umer paracha student of BBIT speeches among the students that "we all students of this university boycott against FACEBOOK because this is the second time that Denmark speech hatred against our beloved prophet. We can't tolerate such these things as we have deep love to our prophet".

Girls participation in this strike was a very clear picture of their love. Zahida student of pharmacy also speech that "we can't do such things as Denmark done but we can close facebook forever in our country, that such countries will realize our unity".

It was a minor but a very powerful strike of the students.

THE USE OF THERMOCAOL (PACKING MATERIAL) IN FINE ARTS DEPTT BY ARTIST LIAQAT ALI KHAN

KUST:22MAY,The fine arts deptt is decorating specially its windows and pillers with thermocaol.
Artist Liaqat Ali khan in an individually doing that task.He said,"This is my hobby and also my passion".
He also demanded the workers for fine arts deptt who can help him.

DEMONSTRATION AGAINST "TAUHEEN E RISALAT" BY ISLAMI JAMIYAT E TALBA

KUST:22MAY,Under the supervision of Islami Jamiyat e Talba demonstrated against the Tauheen e Risalat in front of the king gate.
During the demonstration the students of Islami Jamiyat e Talba and its MNA Subhan allah and the president of other societies Khanzada who also condemned and presented 3main resolutions...
They said,"Govt should boycott and disconnect with all the western countries.
At the end of the demonstration they also said,"Govt should call back to all the embessiders from the foreign countries and boycott their products and breakup the relations with them".

JMC Start the Campaign Against Tauheen-e-Risalat

KUST, 21 May: The students of Journalism & Mass Communication (JMC) start the campaign against the Tauheen-e-Risalat today.

The student of JMC visit different departments of the university to give awarness about the campaign and also colllect the money for the campaign. The relly will be held on Tuesday 25 May. In the relly the flags and the puppet of the President of the responsible countries will be burn.

KUST, 21 May: Senior students of Pharmacy Department organized a Welcome Party for the new comers in the Board Hall on 1 June.

The party was organized by the senior students of Pharmacy in order to create a friendly environment between the old and new students. In party varity of programes will be presented like parodies, dance, songs, games etc.

SENIOR MANAGMENT STUDENTS WELCOMED THE JUNIOR

KUST, May 18, 2010: A welcome party is organized for the new comers in master and bachelor program of Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) by the senior students in the Board hall today.

The party was organized by the senior students of MBA and BBA in order to create a friendly environment between the old and new students, Riaz khan BBA 7th semester (chief organizer) told.

RED CRESCENT CAMPAIGN AT KUST

KUST, May 18, 2010: A volunteer ship campaign of Red Crescent society held at Kohat University of Science and Technology (KUST) today.

The purpose of the campaign was to provide the membership cards to the old members and make more membership for the accidental situation like earth quakes and bomb blasting etc.

The president of the Society Mr. Sharjeel ur Rehman told that they have organized the youth wing of the society in KUST and also the cabinet which means to increase the volunteer and members and to handle the societal (Red crescent) activities at KUST and in case of any emergency they would be ready to serve.

RESEARCH PROBLEMS TO CHEMISTRY STUDENTS

KUST, May 18, 2010: A collective decision has been taken by the lecturers of the chemistry department, of giving the research opportunity to the students having GPA equal or above 3 only.

Mr. Shabeer lecturer in chemistry department told that due to this decision the students who are having GPA equal or above 3 will be able to do the research work and in case of less GPA they will do so, in response to this the students told that this rule should be reduce to a GPA of 2.5 because it is totally going out of tune as their seniors have been given this opportunity even with GPA less than 2.5, so they should also be provided the same chances

ARRANGE THE PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY LECTURAR; PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY STUDENTS

KUST, May 18: The students of Master 3rd semester Physical chemistry demand for their new lecturer of Physical chemistry due to the resignation of Mr. Qaiser Bhatti today.

The students told that after the resignation of Mr. Qaiser Bhatti numbers of their classes have been missed and because of that their semester is affecting, so they requested the department to manage a lecturer for the concern subject as soon as possible in order to overcome the said problem.

The department ensured the students that they will soon arrange the lecturer for them.

1DAY TOUR OF PHARMACY DEPARTMENT STUDENTS IN PESHAWAR

KUST:18MAY,The students of pharmacy department went to Peshawar for visiting in MILICRAFT & ZIDJAN'S pharmaceutic company on 21APRIL.
The In charge director (FARHAT ULLAH) SAID, "If students want to go for their study tour they must have to pay all self expenses".
HEC which is recognized and was provided free of cost facilities . Study tours are the part of the syllabus but now only transport facility is provided and all other expenses are upon students own based.

18 May IMS department held get toghter at board hall.Director of IMS Sir Wisal was the chief guest.Organizer were Mohiman,Hassan,and Abduallah .

TRIP OF PHARMACY DEPARTMENT KUST

Pharmacy department is going to arrange a trip of two days and one night toward muree.The trip will go on upcoming saturday.

Final match is played between department of Pharmacy and IMS of 15 overs.IPS bat first and made 140 at lost of 9 wickets.

IMS team failed to chase the target and whole team out at 102 runs in 14 overs.Sajjad was man of the match in this final match .

PIPELINE CONNECTIONS TO NEW BLOCKS

KUST, May 17: New water pipeline connections are provided to different new blocks like Officer Apartment, new Health care center and new academic block today, told by Mr. Altaf Hussain (director works).
The students were facing lot of problems in seeking water for their basic needs since yesterday (Saturday) noon, Navees Khan (Pharm-D 5th) told, in response Mr. Altaf Hussain told that because of new connections they had cut off the main line due to which their were problem of water to students of both boys and girls hostels and to staff members too but now they have managed it and has ensured the water flow to the students and staff hostels.
He further added that there is lot of work under process in the campus which will soon insha’ALLAH come to an end.

IPS WIN KCL

KUST, May 17: IPS (Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences) cricket team defeated IMS (Institute of Management Sciences) cricket team in the final to win the KCL (KUST cricket league) tournament today. IPS team bat first and put a target of 141 runs, M. Nasir ( Pharm-D 5th semester) made highest score of 62 runs. IMS team while bating in response made only a score of 104 runs with all out. Director sports Mr. Wajid Ali awarded the wining team captain Hameed with the trophy. M. Zaffar (Pharm-D 5th semester) told that Sajjad with his best bowling (took 5 wicket and scored 17 runs) lead his team to victory and was declared as man of the match. Khalid (Pharm-D 5th semester) was declared as man of the series.

IMS department held a Fun Gala on 18 May in Kohat Board Auditorium. In Fun Gala students will perform different programes like skates, dances musical, perodies etc.

The Bs 5th Semester of the zoology department goes for the tour today. The tour will be for 7 days. They will stay in Murree and also see the surrounding areas of the Murree.

New plants are planted monatical garden of cost Two Lacs.These varieties of plants are collected mostly from Ternol and Rawalpindi.

The plants includes Bananas,Malta,Poplas,Zizipas,Sunflower,Neem,Ulta,Ashoka,Seedha,Glysra gibza,Lemon,Bamboo,Morcusalba,Minta,Mintol are included.

Consulted Zahid Hussain also told that photosynthesis lenght on daily basis is measured for research work.The plants are planted in the supervision of Zafar Iqbal the chairman of botany departmen.
